Developer · IT manager · 20+ years in tech
I build practical software that ships. websites, web apps, and the infrastructure behind them.
I'm Robert Bettencourt. By day I manage IT and infrastructure for an MSP; the rest of the time I design and ship real software — custom websites for clients, my own production web apps, and the systems that run behind them, from financial calculators to a client-side encrypted credential vault. This is a living showcase of what I build, each project engineered to be fast, secure, and genuinely useful.

About
A bit about me
I've spent over two decades in technology — from bench technician to IT Manager, from SQL stored procedures to iOS apps — and I currently lead IT operations and project delivery for a managed service provider in California's Central Valley. That background shapes how I build software: pragmatic, secure, and aimed squarely at a real-world problem.
The projects here are the result. A 24-calculator financial hub, a workplace tools platform for employees and employers, a multi-tenant QuickBooks Time attendance app, and a client-side encrypted credential vault for Confluence — each built end to end, from frontend to serverless backend, and deployed on its own subdomain of r2d2dev.com.
My approach is simple: never stop learning. Whether I'm hardening a network or shipping a React app, I care about doing it well — responsive, accessible, fast, and built to last.
